This is truly amazing! A recent study from Italy shows that liver transplant patients with strong religious beliefs tend to live longer than those with weak faith or atheists. Dr. Franco Bonaguidi, who led the study, said, "We found that these patients, who actively believe in God, possess more positive energy, helping them endure difficult times."
According to the UK's *Daily Telegraph*, the research team tracked 179 liver transplant patients from January 2004 to December 2007 over a four-year period. The study found that patients with strong religious beliefs were three times more likely to survive than those without faith.
Bonaguidi stated, "Patients with strong religious beliefs after surgery had higher survival rates than those with weak or no faith." Three years post-surgery, less than 7% of the faithful patients had passed away, while over 20% of the non-believers had died. "Faith is indeed a crucial factor in patient survival," he noted. One recovered patient shared, "My faith made me feel brave and at peace."
Previous studies have indicated that patients with HIV, heart disease, and other conditions also experience better survival rates due to faith. Additionally, research has shown that losing faith can negatively impact health, increasing unhealthy habits like smoking and excessive drinking, as well as making individuals more prone to negativity and stress.
