Mendelson MD, not only a renowned physician but also a former director of a prestigious American hospital, a researcher at a famous institute, a professor at a medical school, the head of the Illinois Medical Licensing Board, and a leader of the American Medical Association (AMA—a powerful political union organization known as the American Medical Union), published a monumental work in 1980 titled *Confession of a Medical Heretic*, published by Warner Books in the United States. This book has been reprinted countless times and has garnered a vast readership. His loyal readers have come forward to establish an organization called the National Health Federation, electing Dr. Mendelson as its president. Branches of this organization exist in cities and towns across the United States, holding regular meetings, inviting notable speakers, and publishing periodic journals. This marks the first major revolution against the medical establishment in Western history.

The subtitle of Dr. Mendelson's book is: *How to Defend Your Life Against Doctors, Chemical Drugs, and Hospitals*. The cover lists six key points:

1. Annual physical exams at hospitals are a trap.
2. Hospitals are perilous and deadly places for patients.
3. Most surgical procedures harm patients more than they help. Every surgery is invariably deemed successful, but the patient is either injured or dead.
4. The so-called disease testing or examination systems and processes are fundamentally flawed, riddled with corruption. Even scientific instruments are error-prone and entirely untrustworthy.
5. The vast majority of chemical drugs not only lack genuine therapeutic effects but are also the cause of illness and disease.
6. X-ray examinations are a focal point and hallmark of diagnostic procedures. "A picture is worth a thousand words," but X-rays are not only highly dangerous due to radiation but also frequently yield erroneous results. Interpreting X-ray images is subject to human bias and emotion, leading to incorrect judgments. Even the same expert, reinterpreting the same image a decade later, shows a 75% deviation (as proven by experiments).

The book elaborates on these six points with detailed reasoning and evidence, leaving experts who read it feeling that it perfectly articulates their own thoughts, while lay readers feel as though they have awakened from a nightmare, realizing that the book explains the injustices and suffering they endured during illness. Thus, Dr. Mendelson's book caused a sensation across the United States upon its release.

Dr. Mendelson criticizes Allopathic Medicine (the medical practice based on chemical and instrumental testing, chemical drug treatments, and surgical interventions—commonly referred to as Western medicine in China) for its self-proclaimed scientific nature, denouncing it as "unscientific" and "merely a superstition of science," or more aptly, "a superstition cloaked in the guise of science." He describes the entire allopathic medical system as a vast church of superstition, or more appropriately, a grand cult. Big pharmaceutical companies are their gods, hospitals or clinics are their churches, profit is their doctrine, doctors are priests in white robes—essentially secondary salesmen for big pharma (who are mandated to prescribe specific drugs for specific conditions; any medical doctor daring to defy this faces immediate dismissal, punishment, and permanent ruin, ranking even lower than direct pharmaceutical sales representatives), and patients are their guinea pigs and stepping stones to wealth or higher status.Their supreme weapon is chemical drugs!

The development of a drug must start with mice and go through a process until it is approved for the market, costing millions (not including bribes) and taking over a decade. The drug appears to have been rigorously tested and is deemed a "scientific product" that is guaranteed to cure diseases. However, within months of its release, various issues arise. Not only does it fail to cure, but its side effects are downright horrifying. Within a few years, this much-anticipated miracle drug is phased out. Amid the constant "innovation" of drugs, the illusion of medical "prosperity and advancement" is maintained, while in reality, the vast majority of drugs are highly toxic waste. The entire "drug manufacturing" process is deliberately designed to appear "extremely difficult," "highly scientific," and a "great invention," creating a facade of scientific magic to deceive the public. Even more despicable is that major pharmaceutical companies employ so-called experts to synthesize new viruses or bacteria, creating new diseases to meet political needs and spread them in targeted areas. They then sell vaccines and antidotes, profiting from both ends. Dr. Mann dedicates significant space to detailing the adverse effects of "vaccines," warning the public not to blindly believe in the efficacy of vaccines as preached by them, because vaccines are already embedded with another virus or bacteria, causing automatic infection and spread, leading to the purchase of more drugs and vaccines. These are all "traps and packages" pre-designed by "scientific experts"!

Dr. Mann states: Hospitals are legal places for harming or killing people. The difference from ordinary slaughterhouses is that the victims must pay exorbitant prices, often bankrupting themselves, to be "slaughtered"! If you are poor and cannot afford medical fees, even if you beg them, they will not waste their precious time to "slaughter" you unless they have their eyes on your organs. Chemical drugs are the cash cows of the world's wealthiest behind major pharmaceutical companies (comparable to oil wealth). The entire medical system is intertwined with politics and law. If a patient refuses their "treatment," government courts immediately intervene to enforce it. For example, a chemical drug called RITALIN is said to help children behave and study better. If authorities decide a child must take this drug, the child must comply or be barred from school. If parents intervene, they face prosecution, fines, and imprisonment. 60% of American children take this drug. The positive effects are minimal, while the side effects are severe: children either become depressed and suicidal or develop violent tendencies, leading to self-harm, killing parents, grandparents, classmates, teachers, and principals. As a result, many families who can afford it withdraw their children from this education system and opt for private tutoring.

The number of Americans disabled or killed by chemical drugs is at least 1,500,000 annually, according to government figures. This "cult" is highly organized, immensely powerful, and infinitely wealthy. This system not only harms countless citizens in the U.S. but also serves as a strategic weapon abroad, coercing other countries to align their medical systems with it. Wealthy elites often openly state: "This is more practical, authoritative, and risk-free than outright seizing political power." Therefore, when "the wealthy" aim to conquer a region, they go there to "do charity" and "good deeds," "donate drugs and vaccines," and establish one or more "hospitals"!

The primary agenda of the National Health Alliance is to awaken the public: the right to life is inherent, and maintaining health is also an inherent right of the people. People have the right to choose the treatment methods and approaches that are most suitable and beneficial to them.The American people have the right to choose one or more treatment methods from the various existing medical practices. For instance, in addition to allopathic medicine, the United States has multiple medical systems such as Homeopathy, Naturalpathy, Chiropractic, Folk Remedies, and Herbal Remedy (traditional Western herbal medicine). These medical practices should be on equal footing with allopathic medicine, allowing people to freely choose among them. The government should not use political power to exclusively favor allopathic medicine, allowing it to monopolize the field and declare all other medical practices illegal. It is unacceptable for insurance companies to refuse coverage for treatments using other medical systems, and for police to arbitrarily shut them down or arrest practitioners. Due to the united resistance led by Dr. Mann, American policies gradually relaxed, allowing various therapies to become legal or adopting a non-interference approach, permitting their free development. Later, acupuncture therapy, brought to the United States by President Nixon from China, also received legal recognition. The U.S. now permits the establishment of Chinese medical schools and various training programs, marking a step toward aligning with Chinese practices.

Furthermore, the mission of the National Health Federation is to encourage people to recognize that true healthcare should focus on "preventive medicine," as the saying goes: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of (allopathic) cure." The principles of allopathic treatment are overly artificial, increasingly distancing themselves from what is natural. For example, allopathic practitioners rely too heavily on chemical "antibiotics," which are intended to combat bacteria and reduce inflammation. However, due to excessive use, bacteria—which existed on Earth long before humans—are living organisms capable of adapting rapidly to chemical drugs, rendering them less effective or even ineffective. Not only do these drugs fail to achieve their intended purpose, but their toxic side effects also kill the patient's immune cells, leading to more severe inflammation and even cancer. Excessive artificiality, standardization, and rigidity will ultimately destroy both others and oneself. Therefore, a "return to nature" is essential and far superior to blindly pursuing the narrow path of "allopathic" treatment. They have made significant contributions to the welfare and rights of the American people! They are also a force that admires and advocates for Chinese medicine in the United States. Currently, this movement is steadily and robustly growing!

Traditional Chinese medicine, if traced back to Shennong's experimentation with herbs, has a history of at least 5,000 years (compared to the mere century-long history of Western allopathic medicine). The accumulation of 5,000 years of wisdom has endowed it with an incredibly rich body of knowledge, theory, practice, and experience. It is a complete and mature science that has accompanied and safeguarded the growth of the Chinese nation. It represents a unique, independent, and enduring medical system and scientific paradigm that is both scientific and philosophical. The preparation of Chinese medicine is scientific yet harmonious with nature, highly adaptable, non-destructive to the original life structure, and a crystallization of exceptional wisdom and dialectical methodology. It serves both therapeutic and preventive purposes. Moreover, it is one of the few remaining indigenous treasures of the Chinese nation, embodying the spirit of China and the brilliance of Chinese culture!
