After the age of 40, many men face career bottlenecks and financial pressures, gradually feeling overwhelmed and losing interest in many things. Most of these issues are related to excessive stress, but it could also be due to the onset of physiological decline.
In fact, after the age of 30, the secretion of male hormones declines at a rate of 1% per year. Once it falls below the critical value of 315ng/ml, symptoms of male menopause may appear.
By the age of 50, urinary problems begin to trouble men, including slow urine flow, increased time spent urinating, fear of incontinence, a feeling of incomplete urination, and increased frequency of urination. These issues become persistent nightmares for middle-aged men.
Statistics show that 50% of men over 60 suffer from prostate-related issues, and this number rises to 80% for those over 80. While these symptoms are bothersome, most can be improved or alleviated through behavioral changes and simple medication, so there's no need to avoid seeking medical help.
In addition, prostate cancer often develops silently and is usually discovered incidentally during examinations for prostate enlargement symptoms. Men with such concerns can visit a urology department for symptom evaluation and prostate cancer blood screening.
