Recent research by British scientists shows that women with slim waists are more likely to miscarry in the early stages of pregnancy. A team of medical researchers from the "London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine" conducted observations and studies on 600 women who had miscarried and 6,000 women who had been pregnant for more than three months, reaching the above conclusion. The study reveals that slim women have a 72% higher miscarriage rate in the first three months of pregnancy compared to women of normal weight.

In the UK, one in five pregnant women may miscarry, affecting approximately 250,000 women each year.

The study also shows that women who experience nausea and vomiting in the early stages of pregnancy are less likely to miscarry. The successful birth rate for these women is 70% higher than the average.

The researchers stated that they do not want the findings to be seen as a criticism of slim women.
