Yesterday, they further announced a groundbreaking discovery, identifying the key cause of severe allergies: when the human body releases a large amount of "granulysin" to attack foreign harmful substances<font class=mark>(Note: Isn't this harmful substance Western medicine?!)</font>, it may conversely cause harm to the body.

Combined with genetic differences between Eastern and Western populations, Zhong Wenhong stated: "Taiwan has 50 cases of SJS a year, which is the average annual number for the entire United States. In Taiwan, there are eight to nine cases per million people. Moreover, because the initial symptoms of SJS are sore throat and fever, doctors often misdiagnose it, missing the critical first three days of treatment."
The results of this research have propelled the development of testing reagents. In the future, simply having patients hold a reagent in their mouths can test for SJS, allowing for early treatment. Additionally, the development of neutralizing inhibitory antibodies is underway, seeking a cure for SJS.
