Today’s children are increasingly fond of snacks and fast food. But beware—according to a study published abroad, children under three who frequently consume junk food may have lower IQs than those who eat a healthy diet. Domestic nutritionists add that this doesn’t just apply to three-year-olds; even adults can be affected.

In the video, a child stares intently at the fries in their mother’s hand, opening their mouth to take a bite—only to be tricked by their mom. Frustrated, they throw a tantrum, punching wildly. When they try again and get fooled once more, they burst into tears. If the parent gives in and lets them eat junk food at this moment, it might actually make them less intelligent.

A British study tracked children aged three to eight and found that those who frequently ate fries and biscuits scored lower on IQ tests compared to those who followed a healthy diet. This finding is supported by domestic nutritionists. These foods are often deep-fried and loaded with fats, preservatives, and other chemicals, lacking any real nutritional value, which can hinder brain development. Doctors recommend sticking to natural foods for better growth.

Foods like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables are rich in essential nutrients that aid development. Junk food doesn’t just harm the brain—long-term consumption can also increase bodily stress, leading to obesity and cardiovascular diseases, regardless of age. After reading this, would you still dare to pick up those packaged snacks from the shelf? Maybe it’s better to put them down and walk away.
