Former Hong Kong Observatory Director "Lam Chiu-ying" stated that judging by Hong Kong's trees, it seems winter no longer exists in the city.

Lam Chiu-ying mentioned that a few days ago was "Major Snow" in the 24 solar terms, which should at least signify late autumn climatically. However, looking at the green trees in the parks, it still feels like a bright spring day—yet it’s already mid-December. Instead of feeling cold, he finds this deeply unsettling because the climate is truly abnormal.

Lam also pointed out that in recent years, Hong Kong’s trees have exhibited many unusual phenomena. For example, azaleas typically bloom in March or April, but lately, their flowering period has been arriving earlier. In recent years, azaleas have even bloomed as early as November. Even the azaleas are confused by the warming climate.
