Beekeepers have warned that due to insufficient sunlight, Britons may not have honey to eat next year.
The British Beekeepers Association stated that the continuous rain and lack of sunshine this summer in the UK have reduced honey production by approximately a quarter. Beekeepers mentioned that apart from excessive rainfall, other reasons for the decrease in honey production this summer include many beekeepers switching to wheat cultivation and a significant number of bee deaths. Beekeepers are concerned that honey production in the UK will be even lower next year, leaving Britons without honey to spread on their bread.
