A strange wind blew through Gunma Prefecture, Japan, the evening before yesterday, causing the roofs of more than 160 buildings to be blown off on the spot, resulting in severe damage. Meteorological experts suggest that this strange wind might have been caused by the simultaneous occurrence of a tornado and a downburst.
On the evening of the 25th, a sudden strong wind appeared in the eastern part of Gunma Prefecture, Japan, causing significant damage due to its intensity. Aerial views show that many residential roofs in the area hit by the strange wind were blown off, and the glass of buildings shattered and scattered everywhere. Many greenhouses not only lost their roofs but also had their frames destroyed, suffering severe damage. The farmers' hard work was wiped out in an instant, leading to heavy losses.
In the cornfields, crops were found lying in a vortex pattern. The Maebashi Local Meteorological Observatory sent personnel to investigate the disaster situation in the affected area. Residents reported that it was raining when the strange wind occurred, and they saw rainwater being swept upwards by the wind, creating a very unusual scene. Investigators stated that, based on the damage, this strange wind was likely caused by the simultaneous occurrence of a tornado and a downburst.
