Bao Zhijin, a railway communication worker from the China Railway 11th Bureau Group in Xiangfan, Hubei, who has suffered from stomach problems for many years, went to Wuhan Boda Hospital for treatment the day before yesterday. The doctor prescribed him a combination of Chinese and Western medicines weighing 12 kilograms, with a similarly "hefty" price tag totaling over 12,700 yuan, which left him stunned and nearly caused his stomach pain to flare up again.

According to a report by "Jingchu Net," Bao Zhijin saw an advertisement for Wuhan Boda Hospital's treatment for stomach problems and made a special trip with his wife by train to the hospital for treatment. Dr. Wan from the hospital's gastroenterology department conducted a series of tests and then prescribed him medication for two treatment courses, claiming that after taking these medicines, his over 20-year stomach problem would be cured.

When Bao Zhijin went to pay, he was shocked to see the medication cost over 12,000 yuan. After much hesitation, he still paid the fee. To his further astonishment, the medication he received filled a large cardboard box and two plastic bags.

After receiving the medication, Bao Zhijin stayed in the hospital for an IV drip. His son, who works in Wuhan, rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news. Upon learning that the hospital had prescribed so much medication for his father, he angrily confronted Dr. Wan and demanded a refund, but was refused. After receiving the complaint, a reporter went to the hospital and counted a total of 14 bottles of injections and 120 boxes of oral medication, which weighed 12 kilograms when placed on a scale.
