From the gay rights movement to advocating for transgenderism, in just a few years, gender ideology in the United States has not only replaced science but has also been enshrined as government law. Moreover, transgender ideology has infiltrated education, disregarding medical expertise and indoctrinating children with pathways to transition. American pediatrician Michelle Cretella lamented that in the U.S. today, politics trumps professionalism, and questioning gender ideology is equivalent to career suicide.

According to *The Daily Signal*, Cretella published a paper last year detailing how transgender ideology harms children and mentioned that medical experts who speak out in defense face marginalization.

As a board-certified pediatrician with 17 years of experience, Cretella pointed out that some studies propose the concept of a "transgendered brain," suggesting that changes in brain structure lead to altered human behavior. However, she emphasized that these studies suffer from severe methodological and sampling flaws. She added, "Current research proves that no one is born trapped in the wrong body."

Cretella reiterated that gender identity is shaped through nurture, not innate DNA. From early childhood, individuals learn gender expression from those around them. She argued that children displaying atypical gender traits do not necessarily have gender dysphoria. "Many so-called experts accept these ideas without thorough examination," she said.

In 2015, Dr. Kenneth Zucker, a psychiatrist with decades of experience in gender counseling, was abruptly dismissed from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where he had worked for 35 years. The Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) for children, adolescents, and families that he led was subsequently shut down.

According to reports from the Hong Kong Sex Culture Society, Zucker believed that gender identity is malleable during childhood, with 75% to 95% of adolescents stabilizing their identity after puberty. Given the challenges of transitioning, he preferred helping children align with their biological sex first. This approach drew protests from transgender advocates, who accused Zucker of conducting so-called "conversion therapy" and inappropriately pressuring transgender children to change their identity.

Cretella sighed, noting that in the U.S. today, politics overrides expertise, and questioning gender ideology is akin to career suicide.

Doctors who support childhood transition often persuade parents by claiming that denying transition could lead to suicide due to gender dysphoria. This is not factual. Reports from the American College of Pediatricians indicate that many children struggle with the physical changes induced by transitioning, such as brain disorders and gonadal abnormalities, which bring a host of psychological issues.

The report revealed that even in Sweden, where LGBT rights are well-established, the suicide rate among those who undergo gender transition (including surgery) is 20 times higher than that of the general population. Numerous statistics show that transitioning does not resolve the psychological conflicts of gender identity.

Statistics show that the number of gender clinics in the U.S. surged from 24 in 2014 to 215. In the U.K., cases of gender dysphoria have skyrocketed by 2,000% since 2009.Source: https:/ / tw. news. yahoo. com/ % E……BA20% E5% 80% 8D- 014152492. html
