If your husband or boyfriend chats with a beautiful woman, for the sake of his health, don’t stop him. The latest research has found that interacting with beautiful women can increase the secretion of two male hormones, which is beneficial to health.

British media cited a study by the University of California involving 149 male students aged 18 to 24. One-third of the participants interacted with male researchers, while the others were paired with female college students aged 18 to 22.

After a five-minute conversation, the male students who chatted with the female students were asked to rate their attractiveness on a scale of 1 to 7. The average score was 5.83, indicating that the women were considered "beautiful."

Before the study, participants rinsed their mouths with mouthwash. Then, 20 to 40 minutes after the experiment, researchers collected saliva samples from them.

The researchers found that even after just five minutes, the male students who talked to the female students experienced a 14% increase in testosterone secretion and a 48% surge in cortisol, a stress-relieving hormone.

In contrast, those who chatted with male researchers saw a 2% decrease in testosterone and a 7% drop in cortisol secretion.

Dr. James Roney, who led the study, said the results clearly show that talking to women boosts men’s secretion of testosterone and cortisol. These two male hormones help enhance energy and focus while also easing tension, providing significant health benefits.

Previous research by scientists has shown that animals exhibit similar endocrine changes during courtship.
