Is there really snow in June? Recently, Zhejiang, China has been experiencing extreme heat, but strange weather has occurred. Two days ago, someone in Shaoxing captured about two minutes of snowfall on camera, and even people driving on the street claimed to have seen the snow. Local meteorological units said they did not monitor any snowfall, but they also did not rule out the possibility.
In the middle of June, with the sun shining brightly, it was actually snowing heavily. Ms. Wei from Zhejiang, working on the 11th floor, saw this scene with her colleagues and quickly took out a camera to record it. Wei Yanpei: "My colleague came to my department to handle some business, and she suddenly saw what looked like snow outside the window. She exclaimed in surprise, and everyone in our department ran over to look. It really seemed like snow. We reached out our hands, and I extended my hand, and as the snowflakes and wind fell onto my hand, I looked closely and it really was snow. It was truly a scene of snow in June."
The snow in June lasted for a full 142 seconds. Ms. Wei's colleagues from other companies also saw the snow from their cars, and everyone found it unbelievable. Strangely, the local meteorological unit did not observe any snowfall, but they did not rule out the possibility. Meteorological unit: "Hail is possible."
However, snow in June is very different from summer hail. Experts say that the intense clash of cold and warm air can form heavy rainfall. If the airflow pulls low-altitude cumulonimbus clouds containing ice crystals towards the ground, it can create a peculiar scene of small-scale, short-duration snowfall.
