The factory was filled with toxic gases, which led to the deaths of three workers. The footage shows the workers who were poisoned collapsed into the vats, with their slippers still left inside. Chinese police: "They died here. There's a ladder here. The green stuff is pickled vegetables. While they were scooping the pickles below, the toxic gas knocked them out."
This is no exaggeration. The production of toxic pickled vegetables in China released sulfur dioxide and methane, which were so poisonous that they caused the three workers inside to lose consciousness one by one. They could not be rescued in time and were declared dead. Chinese police: "This is pickled vegetables, spicy cabbage. Even the chili peppers were made with chili extract."
