Some foods can negatively affect children's brain development if consumed excessively. Nutrition experts have compiled a list of items unsuitable for children.
Pickles, salted vegetables, and cured meats—these overly salty foods can impair blood supply, leading to brain hypoxia. For children under one year old, excessive consumption of monosodium glutamate (MSG) may cause brain cell death. Foods like bacon or smoked fish, which require prolonged high-temperature frying, are prone to producing peroxidized fats, hindering brain development. Additionally, popcorn and century eggs contain lead, while fried dough sticks and pancakes contain aluminum, both of which are harmful to brain development and should be avoided for children.
