Another case of suspected adverse reaction to vaccination has been reported. A 44-year-old man in Pingtung County passed away three days after receiving the new flu vaccine. His family suspects the vaccine may be the cause and has demanded an explanation from health authorities. The prosecutor conducted an autopsy this morning to determine the cause of death, while the Centers for Disease Control also sent personnel to investigate the situation. (Reported by Chen Yihua)

The 44-year-old man in Pingtung received the new flu vaccine on the 14th of this month and died on the 17th. His family, puzzled by the sudden death, noted that the deceased had been in good health prior to vaccination but developed frequent urination and kidney issues afterward, leading them to suspect a connection to the vaccine. They reported the case to the police.

On the morning of the 25th, the prosecutor performed an autopsy to further clarify the cause of death. The Centers for Disease Control also dispatched personnel to investigate. However, citing the principle of non-disclosure during investigations, Deputy Director-General Chou Jih-Haw of the CDC stated that they could not comment much on the case. "As the prosecutor is still investigating, we may not be in a position to elaborate. We are aware of this case, and we know the prosecutor has intervened in the investigation."

It is understood that the individual had a prior history of urinary tract infections. Whether this suspected adverse reaction is related to the vaccine will require further analysis once the test results are available.
