A study from the University of Virginia found that people start to decline after the age of 27!

Researchers spent seven years studying the aging process of 2,000 healthy men and women aged 18 to 60. Participants were required to complete tests such as puzzles and memory exercises. The results showed that their peak performance age was 22, and their abilities began to gradually decline from the age of 27.

Professor Salthouse, who led the study, said that for this group of well-educated individuals, abilities such as reasoning, thinking speed, and spatial visualization were strongest at age 22 and started to slowly decline from 27. He suggested that preventing aging should start early.

However, some abilities actually improve with age. Vocabulary and general knowledge skills in this group remained strong up to the age of 60.
