A bizarre incident occurred in Russia where a man was found to have a tree growing in his lung.

Twenty-eight-year-old "Sidorin" experienced discomfort in his lungs and frequently coughed up blood. Upon examination at the hospital, a foreign object was detected in his lung. An X-ray led doctors to diagnose it as a tumor. Yesterday, surgery was performed to remove the tumor. To everyone's surprise, what was causing trouble in "Sidorin's" lung turned out to be a five-centimeter-tall small pine tree.

Doctors speculated that "Sidorin" likely inhaled a pine seed while outdoors. The seed then sprouted, grew, and developed into a small tree inside his lung.

The doctors concluded that the pine tree's needles had punctured "Sidorin's" lung tissue, triggering his coughing. Although finding out he had a tree growing in his lung was strange, "Sidorin" felt relieved to know it wasn’t a tumor.
