Changhua Show Chwan Hospital was shockingly exposed on the 25th for fraudulently claiming National Health Insurance (NHI) fees, involving crimes such as breach of trust and embezzlement. Since 2010, the hospital has illegally profited nearly NT$400 million. Prosecutors, acting on a tip-off, conducted multiple raids at locations including the Show Chwan Medical Group and summoned 32 individuals, including President Huang Ming-ho and his family members. Early this morning (26th) at 5:10 AM, prosecutors applied to the court for the detention of Huang Ming-ho, his third daughter Huang Yi-ting, and the group's deputy finance director Hu Yu-mei. Huang Ming-ho was later granted bail for NT$13 million, Huang Yi-ting for NT$5 million, and Hu Yu-mei for NT$1 million.

Prosecutors received reports alleging that the Show Chwan Medical Group had set up shell companies to profit from drug price differences. Further investigation revealed that Huang Ming-ho established Jian He Company in 2010, with his nephew as the legal representative. By purchasing drugs in bulk, the company received substantial discounts from suppliers, then resold the drugs to Show Chwan Hospital, pocketing the price difference. The profits were then transferred into bank accounts held by Huang Ming-ho, his spouse, and his children.

Over four years, Huang Ming-ho illegally profited up to NT$400 million, some of which was used to purchase luxury properties in Taichung's upscale Seventh Redevelopment Zone for himself and his children. Prosecutors suspect Huang and others involved may have committed breach of trust and embezzlement. On the 25th, prosecutors conducted multiple raids at Show Chwan Hospital, Huang Ming-ho's residence, and his children's homes, summoning 32 individuals for questioning.

Huang Ming-ho's eldest daughter was abroad and did not appear for questioning, while his wife and son Huang Bo-wen left the investigation station at 9:30 PM on the 25th after being questioned. Prosecutors interrogated the suspects until around 5:00 AM on the 26th, then applied for the detention of Huang Ming-ho, Huang Yi-ting, and Hu Yu-mei due to concerns about collusion and evidence tampering. Others, including Huang's wife Chen Hsueh-chin, second daughter Huang Ching-ya, nephew Chen Bo-cheng, cashier Wu Ya-fen, deputy procurement director Kuo Hsueh-ju, and other summoned individuals, were released.

After questioning, Huang Ming-ho stated, "You all know me—you know I’ve done good things in Changhua!" The court ruled that although Huang's eldest daughter had not appeared due to being abroad, over 30 witnesses had already been summoned, and the case had been sufficiently investigated, making detention unnecessary. Thus, Huang Ming-ho was granted bail for NT$13 million, Huang Yi-ting for NT$5 million, and Hu Yu-mei for NT$1 million.
