A bizarre death case occurred on Zhonghua Road in Taipei yesterday morning. A computer supplies businessman surnamed Jia was found dead in front of his office computer. The circumstances of Jia's death were unusual—he was lying on his computer chair with his genitals exposed, while an adult film was playing on the computer screen. Preliminary investigations by prosecutors and police suggest he was "masturbating while watching" and died from a heart attack due to overexcitement.
Police stated that Jia, only in his forties, was a shareholder in a computer supplies company on Zhonghua Road in Taipei. He typically commuted between his home in Yilan and his workplace, sometimes sleeping directly at the office. His wife works in the medical field.
The night before, Jia had slept alone in the office. Around 9 a.m. the next morning, a female employee surnamed Zhang arrived for work and found Jia still asleep at his computer desk. She rang the doorbell repeatedly to wake him up to open the door, but he didn’t respond. When she called his cell phone, there was still no reaction. Sensing something was wrong, Zhang quickly asked the building manager to come upstairs and check.
To their shock, no matter how much they shook him, Jia wouldn’t wake up. They then realized he had no pulse. Strangely, Jia’s genitals were exposed through his zipper, and his right hand was still gripping them. The two immediately called the police.
Forensic examination revealed no signs of forced entry into the office. Jia was only wearing underwear and shorts, with his genitals exposed. A wad of tissue paper was found nearby, and the computer screen was paused on an "adult-only" TV channel. Investigators concluded that he likely died from a heart attack triggered by overexcitement while masturbating to the pornographic film.
