Many people love eating "fried chicken nuggets"! A U.S. study found that the chicken content in fast-food nuggets is only 40%, less than half of the total composition. The rest consists of "blood vessels," "nerves," and "chicken bone fragments." The research indicates that consuming too many of these nuggets not only leads to high fat and oil intake but may also cause cardiovascular diseases. Children who frequently eat chicken nuggets are more prone to obesity.

Each golden, crispy nugget looks so tempting that you just want to take a bite. Especially for kids visiting fast-food restaurants, chicken nuggets are a must-order item—so satisfying to eat one after another. However, a U.S. study has now discovered that the white chicken inside these nuggets is mixed with blood vessels, nerves, fat, organ tissues, chicken skin, and bone fragments. Even more shocking is that the nuggets contain up to 60% fat, with chicken meat accounting for only 40%. The study shows that the actual chicken content is less than half.

A member of the public said: "Chicken nuggets are just ground meat mixed with flour and some fat, right?"

Another commented: "It's scary enough for adults to eat, let alone children."

Parents are shocked to learn that the chicken in nuggets isn’t the low-fat, pure white meat they imagined. On average, eating more than five nuggets equals consuming a high-calorie, high-salt, high-sugar, and high-fat meal in one go.

Liu Yili, a nutritionist at Taiwan Adventist Hospital, stated: "Compared to cuts like chicken thighs or breasts, regular chicken nuggets definitely contain higher fat and lower protein."

Nutritionists openly admit that chicken nuggets are essentially processed meat. The cheaper the nuggets, the lower the actual meat content. Overconsumption can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, and osteoarthritis. They advise maintaining a healthy diet, eating more green vegetables and fruits, and minimizing fried food intake to avoid obesity.
